Stan And Grace

My great uncle Stan and great aunt Grace live in Savannah, Georgia. I traveled from Columbia, South Carolina to see them. Stan was a pilot whose B-17 was shot out from under him over Paris during WWII. He escaped through the French Underground and walked across Spain to Gibraltar and freedom. Stan is an E&E - an escape and evade airman. He is listed on the E&E plaque on the grounds of the Eighth Air Force Museum in the Savannah area. Stan has flown almost every large bomber and transport aircraft in the US Air Force inventory. On Saturday I heard new stories about his time with the bush pilots in Alaska and hanging out with his good friend, Charles Lindbergh.
